Transportation and lunch will be provided. Students will receive additional information and a bus schedule in their opening packet in July.

Applications are sent out in the opening packet to each student prior to school starting. The applications are on bright orange paper. If you are interested in applying for this benefit, please fill out the application and return it to the cafeteria. Please make sure all data is complete. IF there is data missing it will delay the processing of your application.
All students need to re-apply for this benefit. If your child/ren were enrolled at Bret Harte last year, they will receive a grace period of 30 days to resubmit your paperwork. IF at the end of the 30 days you do not reapply, your child will be deleted from the program. If your child was not enrolled at Bret Harte last year, then there is no grace period for that child. Until that child’s application is approved, they must bring their lunch or purchase food. If you had a child at Bret Harte last year and another child will be starting this year, the child that was here last year will have a grace period. Your other child will not have a grace period.
Once the application has been processed, a written letter will be sent in the mail to you. When the Food Service Director receives the application, turn around time for evaluating an application is no more than 10 days. If the application is missing information, you will receive a phone call. The application will not be completed until you respond to the phone call. This could delay the process past the 10 days.
